Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Scrib. They govern your use of our transcription platform.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Scrib (scrib.now), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Scrib provides AI-powered audio and video transcription in 41+ languages, along with summarisation, speaker recognition, and export features.
The Free plan allows 3 transcriptions per day, up to 30 minutes per file. Paid plans offer higher limits.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.

You retain full ownership of all audio, video, and transcript content you upload or generate on Scrib.
By uploading content, you grant Scrib a limited licence to process and store it solely to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to transcribe the audio/video you upload (e.g., consent of participants).
You must not upload content that is illegal, violates third-party rights, or contains malware.

You must not use Scrib to transcribe calls or conversations without the consent of all participants where required by law.
You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service in a way that degrades performance for others.
You must not share your account credentials or use Scrib to provide transcription services to third parties on a commercial basis without our written consent.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

Free plan: No payment required. Limits apply as described on the Pricing page.
Pro and Premium plans: Billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are in USD; INR equivalents are estimates.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund for new subscribers who are not satisfied. Contact support@scrib.now within 7 days of payment.
Pay-per-use credits are non-refundable once consumed.

Scrib is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, language, and background noise.
We do not guarantee 100% accuracy. Always review transcripts before using them in critical contexts.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrib's total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
